Sausage and Pepper Sandwiches

.... A Crock Pot recipe

5 Italian sausage links, 4 oz each
1 med green pepper cut into 1 inch pieces
1 lrg onion cut into 1 inch pieces
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1/8 tsp pepper
6 hoagie buns
(for added flavor and color, use some colored peppers)

in a large skillet, brown sausage and cut into 1/2 inch slices
place in 3 qt slow cooker
stir in rest of ingredients (except buns)
cover and cook on low 7-8 hours
use a slotted spoon to serve on buns

This recipe can easily be doubled for bigger families and crock pots. Add about 2-3 hours cooking time if you double or triple.
